Cubic Series
Optoelectronic sensors used in industrial production and automation must be hardwearing and also
permit reliable operation in even the toughest of environmental conditions. The automation of production processes makes
ever new demands on the quality and efficiency of switching and measuring sensors. The miniaturization of products,
faster and more precise detection, interference from external light sources, reflective packages or tough environmental
conditions involving a high degree of soiling or intensive cleaning cycles are just some of the challenges faced. As the
complexity of applications increases, features such as simple commissioning, easy handling and connectivity assume an
ever greater significance. Leuze offer a range of solutions to address this type of requirement.
- Throughbeam
- Retro-Reflective
- Energetic Diffuse Reflection Light Scanners
- Diffuse Reflection Light Scanner with Background Suppression

Cylindrical Series
A2LS (Active Ambient Light Suppression) technology largely eliminates susceptibility to interference
from pulsed light sources, for example energy saving lamps. brightVisionŽ substantially simplifies the process of sensor
handling and commissioning. An extremely bright, easily visible light spot and bright display diodes affording all-round
visibility permit sensors to be simply aligned and operated. IO-Link is just one example of enhanced connectivity. With
seamless technology throughout the whole of the system, every individual automation component with IO-Link capability can
be addressed as it were top-down through the control system. Taken to a final stage of completion, this technology permits
parameterizable components throughout an entire plant to be initialized entirely via the control system.

Double Sheet Monitoring & Splice Inspection
The double-sheet monitoring systems from Leuze electronic reliably prevent the infeed of multiple-ply
sheets. This helps reliably prevent damage and the creation of scrap in paper and cardboard pile processing machines. The
systems operate on the basis of different physical principles and cover practically the entire range of applications.
- Paper sheets
- Cardboard sheets
- Films
The systems for splice inspection and for multi-lane label inspection primarily detect splices or labels
which are processed on roll machines. A maximum of 10 lanes can be detected by one system.
- Splice inspection (VSU 12)
- Multi-lane label inspection (VSU 15)
