AC Tech / Lenze bring you a wide range of intelligent electromagnetic spring loaded Brake and Clutch
Systems from INTORQ and magneta as a part of our motion solutions package.
- INTORQ Long Life Spring operated brakes - The BFK458-L has made a major improvement in the life of spring applied
brakes. Guaranteed for 10,000,000 cycles or two years of service life the BFK458-L has a 250% longer life than most
available brakes.
- INTORQ Spring operated brakes - INTORQ's modular system forms the basis of a product program that can be adapted to
suit practically any application. Braking torque: 2-600 Nm
- Electromagnetic Clutches & Brakes - INTORQ products are characterized by short operating times, low motor moment
of inertia and torque transfer with no torsional backlash.

Intorq Electromagnetic Clutches & Brakes
In machines that have A Centralised Drive,
electromagnetic clutches and brakes control the speeds of lower-level drive assemblies. INTORQ products are characterised
by short operating times, low motor moment of inertia and torque transfer with no torsional backlash.
- Clutch and braking torques from 7.5-480 Nm
- 7 sizes
- DC voltage: 24 V
- Thermal class B (130 °C)
- Torque transfer with no torsional backlash
- Wide range of applications thanks to the various types of magnet and armature element
- Short operating times and low motor moment of inertia mean high switching frequencies

Magneta Clutch-Brake Units
Lenze Clutch-Brake units are based on the successful magneta components. They are fitted on a through
shaft. The unit is fixed using simply two screws and is ready for operation then.
- For applications with high frequencies
- Quick and easy installation
- Installation without setting work
- Factory set airgaps
- Easy mounting and dismounting if service is required

Magneta Clutches & Brakes
Lenze magneta electromagnetic clutches and brakes transmit the torque and brake torque through dry
running friction material. With DC voltage applied, the torque is transmitted without backlash. Using the prestressed
spring of the armature, a release, free of residual torque is ensured. These clutches and brakes can be installed in any
mounting position and hardly need any maintenance. magneta offers:
- Standard clutches according to the catalogue 0.3 - 3.6 Nm
- Application clutches up to 5 Nm are available depending on the customer's requirement.
