Datasensor S8 Series Advanced Miniature Sensors
The new Datasensor S8 series of compact sensors offers
excellent detection performances, usually associated with sensors that have larger dimensions and a higher price. The S8
series is able to solve the most critical sensor applications. A solution for packaging lines, food and beverage industries,
automotive, test and assembling machines and electronic plants. The first models introduced offer coaxial polarised Laser
retroreflex, mechanical Laser background suppression, coaxial polarised LED retroreflex for transparent object detection and
Contrast Sensors with RGB emission, coaxial optic and very high
resolution in a compact housing. The Laser versions present extremely focussed spot inferior to 1 mm and switching
frequencies that are amongst the highest on the market reaching 10 kHz. The retroreflex models supply great reliability and
plant productivity thanks to an additional ALARM output for dirty lenses. The contrast sensor is the most compact sensor
available today with RGB emission and coaxial optics. Connector M8 or M12 "pig-tail" versions are available.

Lenze 8400 L-Force Inverter Drives
The new 8400 Frequency Inverter series from Lenze
impresses with consistent scaling. The "Rightsizing" concept with clearly scaled functionality of the BaseLine, StateLine
and HighLine versions simplifies the selection of the suitable inverter for each drive axis - and that with an optimal
price/performance ratio. With an overload capacity of up to 200 percent and a permissible ambient temperature of 45°C
without derating, Lenze 8400 Inverter Drives are robust controllers, which do
not require cooling in the control cabinet even at higher temperatures. This results in savings on the drives,
installation and monitoring. The versions StateLine or higher additionally support thermal control cabinet optimisation
through push-through or cold-plate mounting options.

Choosing a Sensor for Tank Level Application?
Often in level applications a Pressure Sensor can
be used to determine tank level, if the tank is vented to atmosphere and the pressure sensor is mounted at the bottom of the
tank. So how do you know what range sensor your customer would need? Simple. You need to know the height of the tank. Head
pressure is what we are measuring so it doesn't matter if tank is 3' in diameter or 300', only the height is important. For
example, if your cusotmer has a 20 ft tall tank you would convert feet to inches.
20ft * 12in/ft = 240" of water
1 psi = 27.7" of water
240"of water * 1 psi/27.7"of water = 8.6 psi so a sensor with a 0-14.5 psi range would work.
