The S65-V DataSensor Color Sensors offer the best performances for color detection in a standard 50x50x25 mm compact housing. The Infra S65-V0 model, thanks to a good response time of only 340 µs, results to be particularly suitable for automatic packaging applications where high speed and color mark detection are necessary. The S65-V1 model DataSensor Color Sensor increases the chromatic sensitivity of S65-V0 towards dark colours, allowing to distinguish even slight tone differences, useful in quality control and part checking, at inferior process speed. The Infra sensors can memorise and recognise 3 colors on 3 independent channels. The C (chromaticity) or C+I (chromaticity and intensity) detection algorithm and the tolerance level can be chosen for each color. The 0 to 40 ms delay programming is the same for each channel. The auxiliary functions include keylock and synchronisation with external events through a specific input.

The control panel presents two setting push-buttons, outputs LEDs and a 4-digit display for functioning messages and sensor configuration. Complete remote control is possible for the version with the RS485 serial interface, which in the S65-V1 DataSensor Color Sensors can also receive RGB chromatic information. The Infra Colour Sensors can be configured in a 'C' or 'C+I' detection mode. The 'C' type algorithm is used to obtain a larger depth of field, or to detect colors on different opaque, shiny or reflecting surfaces. The 'C+I' type algorithm offers a higher sensitivity towards tone variations, and is recommended for the detection of different colors on the same type of material. It will also distinguish grey tones.

The DataSensor fibre-optic sensors of the TEC series offer a versatile and effective solution for the detection of objects, surfaces, register marks, or other references on the basis of their colour. The diffused proximity optic system is based on a RGB (red-green-blue) LED emission; the received signal is elaborated and recognised by the microprocessor that also controls the output with a response time inferior to 1 ms. The DataSensor Color Sensors can recognise a precise color, or various colours inside a chromatic range included between two references memorised during the setting phase. The output is activated every time the color or memorised chromatic range is recognised. Three patent-covered solutions are present: the RGB emission control and the amplifier's thermic compensation guaranteeing the maximum sensitivity in detection; the transparent CLEARLOCK system allows the verification of the correct insertion and fixing of the fibre-optics, as well as the identification of the light sources.
