Emerson's simple, flexible product lines make choosing the right drive very easy. For more demanding
solutions our application engineers, located within Emerson Drive Center network, are available to discuss your needs and
provide advice. Variable frequency AC inverter drives are an excellent choice for industrial users because they allow you to
fine-tune processes while reducing costs for energy and equipment maintenance. Emerson electronic controllers adjust the
speed of electric motors by modulating the power being delivered.
Control Techniques variable speed drives provide continuous control, matching motor speed to the specific
demands of the work being performed. Emerson Control Techniques offers a wide range of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and
options to meet the diverse power and performance requirements of applications used in Water, Waste Water, Oil & Gas,
Food Processing and other industries. Control Techniques' AC drives/inverters can convert direct current (DC) to alternating
current (AC). The converted (AC) electricity can be at any required voltage and frequency with the use of appropriate
transformers, switching, and control circuits.

Saftronics soft starters have been providing precise controlled AC motor starting and stopping for
decades. We pioneered this motor control technology to limit the current to a motor on both acceleration and deceleration to
provide a longer life to both motor and machinery. Soft starting extends the current waveform over the start time,
which allows the user to limit the current level to what is required to start the load.
Control Techniques offers a complete range of low voltage AC motor soft starters suitable for both normal
and heavy duty applications., plus packaged models such as our "Crusher-Duty" soft starters. Our soft starters feature a
universal voltage input which can accommodate 200 - 600 VAC three-phase input supply. Modbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, RS485,
LonWorks and FIPIO options are available.

Emerson AC motors are designed for use with inverter and vector drive applications requiring up to a
2000:1 constant torque speed range. This makes it perfect for use with Commander SK, SX or Unidrive SP drives. The ACCU-Torq
range of AC induction motors can be used for almost any AC drive application from a simple conveyor to those applications
requiring the very best speed and torque or position control.
Control Techniques offers unrivaled expertise in DC motor and drive applications; our Mentor and Quantum
drives together with Fincor DC Motors provide a complete DC drive solution. We also offer a full range of single-phase DC
motors for use with our Fincor series of single-phase DC drives.
