Epsilon EP Servo Drive - Featuring Power, Simplicity, & Ethernet Options - 230V
The Epsilon EP is the newest "Motion Made Easy" servo drive from Control Techniques. The Epsilon EP is a
compact easy to use servo drive that is scalable from a simple amplifier to a completely programmable 1.5 Axis motion
controller.
The EP can be configured with fieldbus options and motion control capabilities to give you the best solution
available at the lowest price. The Epsilon EP comes in four drive sizes, 2.2A, 4.0A, 6.5A, and 9A delivering over 100 lb-in of
torque at the rated motor speed using XV motors.
- Base: Epsilon EP-B - The EP-B drive is ideal for servo applications utilizing an analog command signal and position
feedback reference.
- Indexer: Epsilon EP-I or EP-IDN - The EP-I drive is a highly capable position controller that provides Home, Index, and
Jog motion profiles.
- Programming: Epsilon EP-P - The EP-P drive provides the highest level of control by allowing the user to create
complete user programs to sequence the motion control along with other machine functionality.

EN Series Digital Servo Drives - 1 Nm To 15 Nm
The En-Series drives are stand-alone, fully digital brushless servo drives designed and built to reliably
provide high performance and flexibility without sacrificing ease of use. Whether the drives are utilized in base drive only
applications or with a closed loop controller, setup can be achieved in just minutes with no-charge PowerTools software. The use
of a State-Space algorithm makes tuning very simple and forgiving. The drives are designed to operate with up to a 10 :1 inertia
mismatch right out of the box. Higher (50 :1 and more) inertial mismatches are possible with two simple parameter settings.
FM control modules (see Controls) provide EN drives with "snap-on" functionality for Indexing (FM-2),
Programming (FM-3E), and Advanced Programming (FM-4E). This modular approach allows users to choose the level of advanced
machine control they need, based on the applications parameters and not the drive "spec". For applications requiring traditional
multi-axis control, Emerson's MC controller is easily integrated with a single cable connection.

MDS Series Servo Drives - 1 Nm To 15 Nm
The Modular Drive System, MDS, is a powerful and costeffective solution for applications with multiple axes.
The MDS employs a unique backplane architecture that provides a common bus platform for one of three sizes of power modules and
up to eight drive modules. The same MDS modules can operate on a 230V or 460V AC input. Plus, there are five different sizes of
drive modules to meet the needs of almost any multiple axis application.
FM control modules, also used in our EN series drives, can be snapped to the front of an MDS drive module to
extend drive functionality to the level required by the application.
Ethernet,
DeviceNet and
Profibus FM controls are available for fieldbus communications. Whether the drives are utilized in base
drive only applications or with a closed loop controller, setup can be achieved in just minutes with no-charge PowerTools
software. The use of a State-Space algorithm makes tuning very simple and forgiving.

SLM Technology Servo Drives
SLM (Speed Loop Motor) Technology forms the basis for Control Techniques' range of Precision Servo
Amplifiers, based on a digital high-speed communication system that links the controller, motor and amplifier. The feedback
resolution provides over 8 million counts per revolution and the speed, current and position loops are updated every 125us to
provide optimum performance. The amplifier range consists of three drive types:
- M'Ax provides a single high performance SLM axis for motors of up to 20Nm
- MultiAx integrates three high performance SLM axes in one module for servo motors of up to 23Nm
- Unidrive SP utilises a Control Techniques click-in SLM option module to provide a single high performance SLM axis for
use with higher power and higher speed motors
