FM-2 Indexing, FM-3E Programing & FM-4E Advanced Programing Modules
FM control modules provide EN & MDS drives with "snap-on" functionality for Indexing (FM-2),
Programming (FM-3E), and Advanced Programming (FM-4E). This modular approach allows users to choose the level of advanced
machine control they need, based on the applications parameters and not the drive "spec". For applications requiring
traditional multi-axis control, our MC controller is easily integrated with a single cable connection. These modules are
programmed using the our PowerTools Pro software.
The FM-2 module enhances EN & MDS drives by adding positioning capability including Jog, Home, Index
functions including Position Tracker - Fieldbus Indexing. The FM-2 also includes additional I /O providing 8 digital inputs
and 4 digital outputs. The FM-3E Ethernet module transforms the EN & MDS into a fully programmable single-axis motion
controller, and adds 8 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs. Profibus (FM-3PB) and DeviceNet (FM-3DN) options are also
available. The FM-4E Advanced Programming module has taken all of the features and flexibility of the FM-3E, and added the
ability to create complex motion profiles for sophisticated applications.

MC206X 2-7 Axis Control
The MC206X is a very capable all-in-one motion controller and integrates easily with Control Techniques
scalable servo offering. The MC206X can coordinate 2-4 Control Techniques drives via encoder feedback, analog output. The
MC206X comes standard with onboard I/O for high speed digital inputs, outputs, analog inputs, and an additional encoder
reference signal. The MC206X with a SERCOS Daughter Board can coordinate up to 7 SM-SERCOS equipped Unidrive SP drives.
Capable also means, the MC206X is capable of Point to Point motion, Camming, Velocity, Torque, and Circular Interpolated
motion all programmed using the simple and free MotionPerfect2 programming software. The MC206X accepts one of 15 plus
daughter board options providing unlimited flexibility. The slot can be used for added axis control such as an additional
encoder/analog axis or SERCOS. The slot could also be used to add Ethernet TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP or PROFIBUS.

MC224 Up to 24 Axis Control
The MC224 is a high performance controller capable of 24 axis of coordinated motion control when combined
with Control Techniques Scalable Servo Drive Offering. The MC224
motion capabilities include circular interpolation, point to point, camming, electronic gearing and basic accel/decel s-ramp
motion profiles. The MC224 is a flexible and modular system which consists of base modules with option slots for flexible
daughter board options. A large 16 axis system would consist of a MC224 base module and three expansion modules connected
together each with up to 4 flexible daughter boards to fit your application needs.
There are four daughter board slots on the MC224 or expansion modules. The slots can be used for added
axis control such as an additional encoder/analog axis or a SERCOS daughter board. The slot could also be used to add
Ethernet (Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP) or Profibus. The MC224 complements the MC206X by offering capability for more than
five analog/encoder servo axis or more than seven SERCOS axis.

MC224/MC206X Expansion Daughter Boards
The MC206X single and MC224 multiple expansion slot accept the modular and flexible range of axis control,
I/O, and fieldbus daughter boards. The MC206X has one slot located on the right side of the unit. The MC224 has four slots on
the base unit and four slots in each expansion bay.

Solution Modules for Motion Control
Our automation option modules contain a high performance microprocessor, leaving the drive's own processor
to give you the best possible motor performance. These solution modules work with both our Unidrive SP and Digitax ST
products. Although with Digitax ST the features provided in the modules below are integrated within the variants of the
product range.
- The SM-EZMotion option module and Power Tools Pro software provides a user friendly environment for motion
programming. The EZMotion approach is ideal for applications that are basic to complex motion without the high costs
associated with compelx programming platforms.
- SM-Applications Plus offers all of the features of the SM-Applications Lite V2 module but with additional
communications and high speed I/O. SM-Applications Plus is programmed using SyPTPro system programming tool.
- The SM-Applications Lite V2 module is designed to provide programmable control for standalone drive applications or
when the drive is connected to a centralised controller via I/O or Fieldbus. SM-Applications Lite V2 may be programmed
using ladder logic with SyPTLite or can make use of the full automation and motion capabilities contained within
SyPTPro.

Lenze Servos
The Model 940 PositionServo drive with
motion controller uses BASIC-like motion-programming language to provide indexing and positioning but can also run in traditional
velocity or torque modes. Electronic Programmable Module removable memory chip allows servo control parameters and motion control
programs to be transferred from one drive to another, even without power applied.
